Since the June 7 hail storm, I have gotten no less than 20 calls from out-of-state hail chasers - or "hail teams" as they call themselves - all looking for work. At Colorado Auto Recon, we never employ hail chasers and never will. Do your research and keep your business local.
There are several local paintless dent repair shops in Denver to choose from. Some I know, some I don't but have heard rumors that they are reputable and offer outstanding work. Some examples of shops I know are locally owned include Dent Clinic, Dent Doctor, Denver Dent, Painless Dent Removal, Dentcrafters (the one at 4920 Niagara St., Commerce City, CO 80022), Flexadent (if it's the same guy from 12 years ago), Colorado Car Care and Dentamenders. I'm sure there are more since it seems a few new dent guys pop up every year.
While of course we hope you'll consider visiting us for your dent-repair needs - and we pledge to beat all their written estimates by at least 10 percent - even if you don't, we want you to save yourself some hassle and know that your dent guy will be around if you have any problems later.

We've been concerned lately about something referred to in the industry as "insurance steering." You can read more about it by clicking here, but the main thing to remember is that you do not have to use the PDR company your insurance company tells you to use.
You have the absolute right to make your own decisions about who performs any and all work on your vehicle.

This really gets me steamed. I have had six customers in the past few weeks who were told by the adjuster to have their hail damage repaired by "so & so company" instead of us for reasons like, “It says on the estimate this is a two-day repair? It can't be fixed in that short a time … this guy must be a hack.” Dead wrong. After 20 years of doing this, I’m fast. So when they say that, I’ll sleep at the shop if I have to just to make sure the car is done when I say it will be. Or - and this is a good one - "I've never heard of this guy." Well, I've been doing PDR in Denver for going on 20 years now. I was repairing my first hail car while the adjuster was dancing to Michael Jackson’s “Billy Jean” at his high-school prom.
