His Story

First off, we are primarily a dent-repair shop.

After 16 years of doing only PDR, we decided to get back into the detail field as an added service. I have been doing detail work since 1987 but backed off in 1991 to do PDR full time, only detailing occasionally for friends, family and very persistent customers.

In the summer of 2005, we decided to get back into the detail biz (hey, it hadn't hailed for a while) and set up shop to do the highest quality details available.

From the very first day, I decided I wasn't setting up my shop for wholesale (dealer/auction) details. Greasy chemicals, a garden hose and a shop vac ... not here. We use only the best products available, from our compounds, waxes, glazes and sealants for the exterior to the finest leather treatments, shampoos, hot-water extraction equipment and vinyl and plastic conditioners for the interior. We cut no corners on any car.

You will see other offers for complete details for $75-$150, but you have to remember that you get what you pay for. Those prices wouldn't even cover the cost of a quality reconditioning at our shop.

One of the main reasons we got into full-service recon is ... well, I like to tinker, and I take great pride in making a car as perfect as possible. If there is ever anything I can't repair on your vehicle, I know someone who can do it right for a reasonable price. After 20 years in the biz, I have been fortunate to associate with some of the best mechanics, body techs, painters, upholstery companies and custom fabricators in the Denver metro area.
Her Story

When Michael first told me he was going to learn paintless dent repair, I thought he was crazy. I was pregnant with our daughter at the time, and I didn't think my young husband had anywhere near the patience for what sounded like tedious, repetitive work.

As it turned out, he loved it right away, and it even surprised me how good he was at it.  He's only gotten better over the years, and it really brings out the creativity in him. Each car presents a new set of challenges to be figured out, and he'll try everything he can think of until it comes out right. His talent has supported us ever since!

Another reason I think we do OK is that we're not trying to get rich. I hear a lot of our competition complaining that independent paintless dent repair shops like ours drag PDR prices down. Well, I'm often astonished at how much the bigger companies charge. After all, when it comes right down to it, it's a service. There's not a lot of overhead in this industry - that's one big reason we got into it the first place. Our shop is a little hard to find and not the prettiest building you'll ever see, but the rent is quite reasonable, so that helps keep our prices down. We don't take credit cards, because that's just another expense we'd have to pass on. Instead, we'll take your check without even asking for an ID. Not enough cash on you? That's OK, drop it by next week. We trust you. After all, we're probably neighbors.
Our daughter, Kelsey, and our cat, Misfit. She was born feral - the cat, not the daughter - in the wall of our old shop. We took her home, loved her, even fed her with an eyedropper. She loves us, but she's mean.
Kelsey is helping her dad at the shop while attending college to learn mortuary science.
